What is the difference between a hedgetrimmer and a hedgecutter? Follow

Basically there isn’t a difference. It is mainly a manufacturers distinction and the two names are pretty much interchangeable. However, we will be using the name hedge trimmers in this guide for clarity and convenience when searching for products.

Engineer’s Tip - Despite the common use of the word Hedgecutters, it is important to note that these tools are generally for trimming duties, not for heavy-duty cutting. If a branch or twig is thicker than your thumb, it is probably not a good idea to use your Hedgetrimmers to try to cut it.
